Living Assessment has been launched...

...and is ready for YOUR input!!

The Forest Service R5 Regional Planning Team has uploaded three Sierra Nevada Bioregion chapters to the Living Assessment, as well as short summaries for almost all the chapters. The remaining chapters should be posted in the coming weeks, so keep checking back.

To get a good overview of what exactly this is all about and how to add your input, check out the  Living Assessment home page. 

Some quick tips from my experience uploading:

1. The Living Assessment is housed in "wikispaces" world, so even if you are a member of Our Forest Place, you will need to become a member of the Living Assessment as well to add input. 
2. Don't forget to click the "edit" button to edit...somehow I kept forgetting to do this...
3. All edits that are made to the chapters are tracked, so don't be shy about getting in there and adding your input!

This process is uncharted territory for the Forest Service, so we will be learning together! I'm excited (and admittedly a little nervous) to see what the future holds and working with you all on assessing social, economic, and ecological conditions, trends, and sustainability in R5!

I made my first edits to Bioregional Report. The edits weren't major, but I had to try it out. It was easy. Thanks FS for providing the opportunity. In addition to the above tips, I think you also need to click "save" after you are finished.
