"I've been thinking a lot about the economy, society, and the environment and how they interact. As I read most of the planning documents, including the Draft NOI and Proposed Action, I feel like the language, if graphically…"

Steven B Porter commented on Denise Adamic's blog post Forest Service has posted more documents for public workshops
"I appreciate your response, but the only problem with the Forest Service NEPA phase communication and collaboration plan is that the Forest Service reverted back to old habits, making "collaboration" decisions without collaboration."

Steven B Porter commented on Denise Adamic's blog post Forest Service has posted more documents for public workshops
"If this is true, I am sorry to hear it. The Collaboration Model v2.0 was a draft that had a substantial amount of public input, and it was 20+ pages long. It has been replaced by a 5 page document that is little more than an outline and a document…"

Steven B Porter commented on Denise Adamic's blog post Forest Service has posted more documents for public workshops
"I am curious. Does the Collaboration, Tribal and Public Involvement Plan dated 6/14/2014 replace the previous collaboration plans, i.e., there is a Forest Plan Revision Collaboration Model v2.0. There may also be a later version. There is also a…"

Steven B Porter commented on Latanga Rush's blog post U.S. Forest Service Pacific Southwest Region moves forward with Forest Plan Revisions

"Thanks for the web reference. Good info. As I understand the MEA, Provisioning Services would be comperable to what I have called consumables/use; Cultural Services would be comperable to what I have called use and enjoyment/active benefits; and…"

Steven B Porter replied to Mark Metcalfe's discussion What ecosystem services are important to you? in the group Ecosystem Services - The Benefits to People
"I am still trying to understand Ecosystem services. I have identified at least three areas of focus. I recognize that these can be broken down in many ways, but here are mine. 1) What the forest can provide in the way of consumables/use, e.g.,…"
