Where we all take part in forest planning
With increasing populations in California and development into the wildland urban interface near and within National Forest lands, "open space" is important. Open space provides varied things to varied people including: working landscapes, visually interesting and pleasing areas near their homes and to visit, areas to provide resilience from wildland fires, and areas of biodiversity important for species that live there and need to move across larger areas. How is open space important to you? How should we consider it in forest plan revision?
