People have asked why the Sierra National Forest is having two types of meetings - technical versus general - and if any member of the public can attend these meetings.

The discussions at the general public meetings (both the in-person meeting and the online webinar) will stay at a higher level, and the meetings will be useful for anyone who is interested in these topics, regardless of their backgrounds. The discussions at the technical meetings will let participants ask questions and provide feedback on very specific scientific or technical items. Many of these people are likely to specialize in forest management, industry, and recreational or environmental planning. All the meetings are open to the public, and there are no requirements to attend. Rebecca Garcia, Sierra NF, Public Affairs Officer.
